About The Bathhouse

Right on Lake Wakatipu's gravel beach, The Bathhouse serves up hearty British comfort with front-row mountain views. Snagging an indoor window seat or a yellow beach umbrella puts you directly over the shoreline. Coffee drinkers head here for silky oat milk cappuccinos and spiced chai lattes, while the kitchen leans into nostalgic English classics—thick bacon butties, ploughman's platters, and hot chips drenched in curry sauce. The standout is the Sunday Roast Roll, packing tender roast pork, potatoes, and savory apple sauce into every bite. Pair it with a mug of rich Whittaker's hot chocolate or a bowl of leek and potato soup before heading back along Marine Parade.

  • Lakefront Vistas: Direct gravel beach tables and bright yellow umbrellas offer unobstructed views of Lake Wakatipu and the surrounding ranges.
  • British-Inspired Bites: English comfort staples lead the kitchen, anchored by a roast pork roll with apple sauce, curry-smothered chips, and bacon butties.
  • Exceptional Drinks: Baristas pour smooth oat milk cappuccinos and spiced chai alongside mugs of rich Whittaker's hot chocolate.
